There are now lots of great entry level cash registers which satisfy the needs of many small businesses. Not very long ago, having your name and address on the top of your customers' receipts would only be possible on a large and complicated register. 

However, it's now possible to have this facility on many of the smaller machines. Not only your name and address but a phone number, vat number, opening hours, special offers, the list is endless.

You can also print on the receipt the specific department through which the sale was made. So in a sandwich shop, for example, you can program the departments to say: sandwiches, drinks, confectionery etc.

This all helps to give your business a much more professional image and, just as importantly, helps you, as the business owner, to monitor  which sections of your business generate the most income.
